Ross Valley Paramedic Authority

Serving Corte Madera, Fairfax, Kentfield, Larkspur, Ross, San Anselmo, Sleepy Hollow, and Marin County

RVPA Governance

The Ross Valley Paramedic Authority (RVPA) is a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) between eight member agencies. Each of these agencies appoints a board member. The board elects a President and Vice President each year.

The Executive Director is Larkspur Fire Chief Robert Sinnott, who volunteers his time to serve as the administrator on behalf of the City of Larkspur.

The RVPA contracts with the County of Marin for Paramedic service, including management. A boundary drop agreement has been made with the Town of Corte Madera that allows for the closest ambulance to respond.

The RVPA Stakeholder graphic shows the various partners and relationships involved in operating the service.
